SCRIPTWRITING
TIME – Opening Scene
INT - in car, early morning
Scene 1
A group of four get introduced one by one with background information as well as personality. The group objective is identified and understood that only those with the smallest of luck could be more successful than those with the biggest.
The four, three males and a female are seated inside a mild tinted car waiting for the first high standard thought to approach.
[Camera in 1st person view looking at the tall brown building as if from characters eyes]
Boom! A thought has come up.
[Camera has now changed in the technique of the close up to help emphasise emotions and facial expressions. It is on Trace]
Trace
Without a doubt lad’s, we need to start rocking towards movements as the day is already in.
Bill
You got a point Trace. Are you hinting anything of any sort my lad.
Trace
Yes I do. I know exactly what to do. Basically it is simple; two things to keep straight. Never rotate a rule and never second the clock of time.
Maria
What do you mean?
Trace leads active movement by opening the car door nearest to him and getting out.
EXT - Street
Scene 2
The camera takes in.
[The camera takes the role of a far view to see the movement about to take place]
The group are now out of the car continuously gazing at the tall building.
[Camera is now in a dutch tilt to emphasise the height of the building; the bank]
6:07am, and the blue icy sky approaches intimidating those of pedestrians eager to catch the ten past bullet to a particular destination. Lucky for the group, they have already reached theirs. The question is why they are there so early; to complete a specific task.
Ringing bells alarm, awakening sleepy heads of those uncontrollable of their bed times. Window shutters opening. Showers pouring. Boilers roaring. The normal morning day with an environment unaware of what is going to happen.
Trace
Very hard to be quick or simple to be long; it is up to you lot but personally, we will get what we have come here for. A promise I make and a promise to abide by.
Trace leads the batch into a nearby pub.
INT – inside pub
Scene 3
[The camera zooms out enough to capture all four]
Trace orders drinks for all and they take seating positions for planning time.
